The award\u2019s program was managed by Development Counsellors International, a New York-based firm that specializes in economic-development marketing.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 \u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">\u201cWe are honored to see Jake recognized for his significant contributions to the Denver South technology and startup community,\u201d said Mike Fitzgerald, Denver South EDP\u2019s CEO. \u201cThe award is well deserved and we are fortunate to have him in our realm and on our team.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Rishavy has been with the organization since 2012, leading its efforts to grow a thriving network of entrepreneurial technology startups. His work has included co-founding Prime Health, a network of innovative health-technology companies, as well as co-founding TechrIoT, a network of companies pushing the edges of innovation in the emerging field of the internet of things. Rishavy currently heads up Denver South EDP\u2019s smart-cities initiatives. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s3\">DCI\u2019s 40 Under 40 award was designed to discover the economic-development profession\u2019s rising stars.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">\u201cThe people chosen by the selection committee represent a bright future for the economic-development world,\u201d said Andy Levine, president of DCI. \u201cThey are a new breed of results-driven place makers.
