Economic boom times have caught up with another DTC landmark.The Corum Real Estate Group has announced it will build a 12-story office building in the northern part of the Denver Tech Center at 5050 S. Syracuse St. in Denver, the long-time location of Garcia\u2019s restaurant, which announced last month it had lost its lease on the space.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis is a homecoming of sorts,\u201d said Eric Komppa, vice president of Corum, founded in 1986. \u201cWe began in the DTC and with this building we return to our roots.\u201d<\/p>\n
The Denver-based company will break ground on the 187,000-square-foot building in the third quarter with completion expected in the second quarter of 2018. The company says that the property will offer Class AAA office space in floor plates which will average 30,000 square feet. Parking will be integrated into the design with office space beginning on the sixth floor.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe are thrilled with the opportunity to develop another iconic legacy asset in the DTC,\u201d said Komppa.\u201cThis building will incorporate the latest in innovative design and sustainability features and will present a unique opportunity for tenants in the marketplace.\u201d<\/p>\n
Inverness Properties is in charge of leasing the space.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe building plan allows for spectacular views from all office floors,\u201d said Bill Woodward, principal at Inverness Properties. \u201cThe light wells generate substantial natural light throughout each occupied floor and the design of the building will allow for accommodation of tenants as small as 2,500 square feet.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
